1. If you're into the buffets, go around the lunch hour when the food is cheaper for the same selection.
2. Be mindful of the desert climate. Vegas in the summer can be hot -- like over 100 degrees hot. Drink plenty of water if walking around outside.
3. Buy your tickets for shows online, before your arrival in Vegas, preferably. You can shop for deals, read reviews, etc., beforehand.
4. If you're driving, don't buy gas on the "Strip" (more expensive.) If possible, get your gas a few blocks away from the main drag -- and pay less.
5. If you're new to the gabling world, most casinos have free gaming lessons. Also, stick to a daily gambling budget and don't stray from this.
